A friend of mine is always arguing about the wisdom of crowds and that the more intelligent one is the more likely one is to make bad decisions.

Try ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wisdom_of_Crowds its a good readobakesanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13743339737847465926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709537690528523236.post-67931993591297821882011-11-11T01:31:55.569+10:002011-11-11T01:31:55.569+10:00I don't think it's because people are stup...I don't think it's because people are stupid. It's more that they're ignorant.
Take the economy for example. Politicians can stand up and say nearly anything about the economy and people will buy it as long as it sounds good. The reason they get away with this is because most people have no idea about how macroeconomics actually works as it is not taught in school - unless you have an explicit interest in it and take classes in college.
This is in fact the Achilles heel of a democracy. When the people govern themselves, they can only do a good job of it if they're well educated.dslaternoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709537690528523236.post-35122098557227238592011-10-21T14:07:45.741+10:002011-10-21T14:07:45.741+10:00thanks Charles ...
