curlews

These guys (curlew) are nocturnal, but seem to "get ready" to come out in the early evening.


where they just "chill" and pretend that if they don't move you can't see them


but of course we can't tell them they're wrong ;-)

    I am pretty sure I have seen these when I was in Australia a few years ago. Neat animal. Do they scatter when you approach?

    Hi Jao

    when you get close enough yes, this was taken at about 5 meters.

    But I'm pretty sure that it depends on the amounts of people they get to see. Around here there are a lot of people, so they are more sensitive.
